Kay Daughdrill is a professional artist, dedicated to capturing the beauty of the world around her. She has a Master's Degree in Art History and taught classes at a prestigious Preparatory School with the Public School System in Mobile, AL. During her distinguished teaching career, she was selected Alabama’s Educator of the Year. After retiring she served as the Executive Director / Curator of the American Sport Art Museum & Archives in Daphne, AL. Influenced by Sport Art at the Museum, her abstract expressionist painting, “Polo” won her national acclaim and was exhibited at the Musee of the Olympiad in Lausanne Switzerland.
Kay’s palette varies from her sensual pastels in her nudes, to the romantic, poetic, hues in her oils on linen. Her most recent works are signed Kayd, what ever her mood, after all she is an artist!
Kay's recent work was again selected into the Juried International Exhibit at the Biennale Internazionale Dell'Arte in Florence, Italy.
