Kay Daughdrill is a professional artist, dedicated to capturing the beauty of the world around her. A retired Art History teacher from Mobile, Al., Kay has painted landscapes from southern Alabama to the coast of France and Italy. During her distinguished teaching career, she was selected Alabama’s Educator of the Year. After retiring she served as the Executive Director / Curator of the American Sport Art Museum & Archives in Daphne, AL. Influenced by Sport Art at the Museum, her abstract expressionist painting, “Polo” won her national acclaim and was exhibited at the Musee of the Olympiad in Lausanne Switzerland. A more recent painting, ”Tour de France “ will be shown in Paris, France 2007.

Kay’s palette varies from her sensual pastels in her nudes, to the romantic, poetic, hues in her oils on linen. Her most recent works are signed Kayd, what ever her mood, after all she is an artist!
